Shipping / Pick-up Information

Rates may vary depending on weight, product, or destination. Please be aware that additional shipping charges may apply, particularly on international orders. If the cost of shipping varies from the standard rate, U of T Bookstore will contact you to confirm actual rates before shipping. You will not be charged any additional shipping fees without your written or verbal consent.

Items on backorder will be treated as a separate order and will be subject to shipping charges. If you do not wish to pay for shipping of backorders, please consolidate your order-- this means that the bookstore will hold your order until all items are in stock and ship the order as one package. This option is available on the order confirmation page after check-out.

Pick-up Orders

Pick-up orders generally take 1-2 days, although exceptions may apply, especially during our RUSH period at the beginning of each term. Please wait until you have received notification that your order is ready for pick-up via e-mail before traveling to your pick-up location. A copy of the e-mail receipt and your credit card are required to pick-up your order.

Orders not picked-up within 4 weeks of notification will be returned to stock. Your credit card will be refunded for the product(s), less a 5% restocking fee. You will not be refunded the handling charge. This policy does not apply to NON-RETURNABLE items, such as Custom Publishing packages. These items are FINAL SALE and MUST be picked up by the customer.

Shipping within Canada

The bookstore uses Expedited Parcel to ship packages to residences in Canada to ensure safe and timely delivery. Please allow 3-4 business days for shipping. There may be exceptions during our peak period in September and over the Christmas holidays. For security reasons, someone must be present to sign for the package when it arrives. We cannot leave packages in mailboxes without a signature. In the event that delivery is attempted and there is no one there to sign, the package will be forwarded to your nearest post office for pick-up. If you have not received your package within one week of receiving the order shipped notification (NOT placing the order), please check with your nearest post office. If it is not there, please notify us at weborders@uoftbookstore.com and we will trace your order.

The bookstore only uses Purolator Courier to ship packages to businesses in Canada. Please allow 1-2 business days for shipping.

U.S.A.

Please allow 5-7 business days for shipping in the continental United States. There may be exceptions during our peak period in September and over the Christmas holidays. Packages are shipped by DHL International Courier and require a signature upon delivery. If no one is home to sign for the package, it will be sent to the nearest DHL depot and you will be contacted to arrange re-delivery or pick-up. If you have not received your package within two weeks of receiving the order shipped notification (NOT placing the order), please contact us at weborders@uoftbookstore.com and we will trace your order. Any applicable duties and taxes are the responsibility of the receiver.

International Shipping

Please allow 5-10 business days for international shipping. There may be exceptions during our peak period in September and over the Christmas holidays. Packages are shipped by DHL International Courier and require a signature upon delivery. If no one is home to sign for the package, it will be sent to the nearest DHL depot and you will be contacted to arrange re-delivery or pick-up. Packages cannot be left in P.O. boxes. Please make sure that your order contains a valid local phone number so the courier can contact you if there are any problems with delivery. If you have not received your package within two weeks of receiving the order shipped notification (NOT placing the order), please contact us at weborders@uoftbookstore.com and we will trace your order. Any applicable duties and taxes are the responsibility of the receiver.
